Are Lox Security Ltd insurance approved?

What is the call out charge?
We don’t charge for callouts, but a minimum labour charge is applied to all work undertaken. This varies job to job and can be advised by one of our specialists. When you contact LOX Security we will try to evaluate your situation as best we can and we will endeavour to give you an approximation of cost before a locksmith is despatched to you.

How can I pay for your locksmith services?
Our terms for non-account holders are payment upon completion of work. We also accept cheques payable to “LOX Security Ltd”, BACS transfers to our bank account (details provided at time of payment), cash, Paypal, and doorstep credit card payments.

In an emergency entry situation will you damage my door or property to gain access?
 Our professionally qualified locksmiths use non-destructive techniques wherever possible.

Can LOX Security Ltd advise on upgrading your current security?
Absolutely. We offer a free security survey with suggested security upgrades, with no obligation.

We recommend that you change locks in the following circumstances:
-    If you have had keys stolen with details of your address, change the locks.
-    You have bought a new property. Buying a property is one of the most expensive purchases that you make. Replacing the locks is comparatively a small cost. Using LOX Security Ltd it will cost you less than you think and may save you from losing everything. If someone enters your property with a key and steals everything but there is no sign of forced entry, your insurers may not be prepared to pay out.
 -    You have lost a set of keys. Even if they have no details of the address, someone may have seen you drop the keys and know who they belong to.
-    You have just moved in to a house / flat / office etc as a tenant or owner. There is a good chance that several people that you don’t know will have keys to your front door. Previous tenants, cleaners, builders, decorators etc. If someone enters your property with a key and steals everything but there is no sign of forced entry your insurers may not be prepared to pay out.
-    You renew or take out home or business insurance. Check that your locks comply with those stated in the insurance policy. If you make a false declaration you may find your insurance is invalid. It is money wasted if you are paying out for an invalid insurance policy. If you are not sure what type of locks you have, LOX Security can carry out a survey and provide a security evaluation.
-    If someone has left the dwelling or business on bad terms - change the locks.
-    A lock is troublesome to operate. It may be sticky or difficult to turn. We may be able to service the lock now thus saving you money rather than replacing it when it fails to work in the future.


What do I do if I have a complaint about Lox Security Ltd?
